I NEVER USE THE WORDS PERFECT OR MINT AS A PART OF THE DESCRIPTION OF ANYTHING USED OR EVEN PREVIOUSLY OWNED. ALL ITEMS ARE USED UNLESS I SAY THEY ARE NEW AND UNUSED BUT THEY COULD BE VINTAGE AND UNUSED. photos are before and after a light washing some photos they are still wet LOW RESERVE PLEASE NOTE: ALL OF THE ITEMS I AUCTION ARE FROM LOCAL ESTATES IN THE SHORE AREA OF NEW JERSEY AND ARE AS FOUND AND DESCRIBED BY ME TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE. This is a trademark Dodge finish, mostly intact, and with a only a little finish loss and fading. Great trojan war horse bookends in heavy pot metal guilted in copper which is a bit worn also one a crazed line on neck i can feel it with my nail does not take away from these at all, the finish is original patina i just washed off dust and they are still a bit wet in the photos The height of these, at over 7 inches tall, combined with the copper bronze finish & modernist style these are truly eyecatching. These are art deco at the extreme modernist almost geometric end of styling. At one time they had the paper Dodge labels on the bases with felt padded cardboard covers which are long gone. These are MODERNIST HORSE HEAD BOOKENDS by the famous Dodge Foundry, circ 1935 to 1950.
